Steve Abley is a musician and revivalist based in Winchester, England. He is a worship leader and evangelist traveling extensively across the UK and Europe to equip and release others into the heart of the Father, understanding their authority, character and destiny. Steve trains worship teams, churches and communities to develop musical skill, providing them with the musical vocabulary needed to challenge and change atmospheres prevalent in their towns, cities and nations.
Steve is passionate about motivating believers to run with the unique personality and abilities God has given them, enabling individuals everywhere both to discover and excel in their own authentic sound. He is currently developing a national network to create the culture in which believers can thrive as themselves, with a particular mandate to raise up the UK’s next generation of apostles and prophets. He is also involved in launching a national centre for 24-7 worship and prayer – The National Heart of Worship and Intercession for the Nations.
Having majored in Classical Composition through Bachelor, Masters and Teaching degrees, Steve spent 25 years teaching and managing music in Secondary schools, setting up a Performing Arts business and then for 7 years managed a charity providing rehabilitation through music to prisoners and ex-prisoners. He gave up ‘standard employment’ six years ago to pursue his calling as a worship missionary and evangelist, now living by faith to develop the ministries and initiatives God is calling him to establish for the next season. Missionary of Sound is one of those ministries. Following his book “The Return of the Musical Prophet – Understanding the transforming power of music and sound”, its mandate is to equip, train and release prophetic musicians onto the streets of the world.
Steve has been married for 35 years and has a daughter and an adopted son.
